The Brooke’s Birdwing Butterfly (Troides brookiana) is a species of swallowtail butterfly native to Southeast Asia. It is one of the largest butterfly species, with a wingspan of up to 14 cm (5.5 in). The upper side of the wings is black with a yellow-green diagonal band, while the underside is yellow-green with a black diagonal band. The butterfly is named after the British naturalist and collector Thomas C. Brooke
